BFG Coloring sheets, trailer, cast, DVD, and behind a behind the scenes look at the movie.
When my daughters told me they wanted to see this movie, I was shocked. When I was younger, I didn't like films about giants because they seemed boring. I couldn't relate to fantasy worlds (which is weird since I had a vivid imagination). I'm not sure why, but something about Jack and the Beanstalk and other giant stories never appealed to me.
Giants were always mean and scary. As a child, I only remember hearing about one friendly giant. His name was was Paul Bunyan and as far as I knew he didn't have books or a movie.
To be honest, as a parent the idea of my children being terrorized by flesh-eating child hunting giants wasn't what I expected from a Disney movie. I was surprised to find that I enjoyed the movie and felt like it had a lot of heart.
Big Friendly Giant: The Movie
Like all great films, "The BFG" began as a book as well, written by Roald Dahl.
Roald Dahl wrote The BFG when I was a child, but I had never heard of it. I was more familiar with his books; "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," "James and the Giant Peach," and "Matilda."
One December 6th The BFG, Disney’s fantasy adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg was released onDigital HD, Blu-ray™, Disney Movies Anywhere, DVD and On-Demand.

About The BFG:
Spielberg’s directorial debut with The Walt Disney Studios was a labor of love, as he’s been a fan of Dahl’s for years. Can you believe Spielberg read “The BFG” to his children when they were younger? According to Spielberg, “It’s a story about friendship; it’s a story about loyalty and protecting your friends, and it’s a story that shows that even a little girl can help a big giant solve his biggest problems.” “The BFG” is a Golden Phizzwizard* come true for Spielberg, Dahl fans and audiences around the world.
